Went to UPMC Altoona because my it was close to home due to urgent care not seeing because I said I had blood in my urine and needed and antibiotic to treat it. UPMC I waited for 4 hours in the waiting room after I gave a urine sample and never saw the doctor the staff was rude and incompetent. I left and drive 10 miles to Tyrone to your hospital was seen right away by a nurse and a doctor and was treated with dignity and kindness and I gave them a urine sample and within 30 minutes the doctor knew what I had gave me antibiotics and I feel so much better. Thank you Tyrone Hospital for taking care of me quickly. I will come back here again instead of. UPMC

I have been nothing short of impressed with my recent care at Tyrone hospital. it has a small town feel with big time, incredibly intelligent doctors and nurses. Dr.Biggs in radiology is the best as far as I'm concerned. Dr.Burns Johnson equally as amazing and compassionate. The nurses that cared for me had years of experience and were excellent. i'm so happy to have competent care close to home that's not upmc.

I went to the hospital while visiting family over thanksgiving. The ER quickly ran tests and found my problem. They started treatment and admitted me to stay. I was there for 3 days, during the stay I was treated very well by all the stay. From the ER team to the hospital dr and nurses, I could not have asked for better care. Very cordial, thoughtful and understanding. You guys did a fantastic job....THANK YOU!! Bronson B.

Absolutely the best Penn Highlands facility in my local area. The RN we had was amazing and even called to check in the next day. Whatever your doing at Tyrone keep it up because those are some amazing people working there.

Amazing hospital and caring staff! I'm TERRIFIED of hospitals because of an experience i had with my last kidney stone... new to the area and had to go for what I thought was a kidney stone because it hurt so bad! they saw me right away and did a CT scan right away, blood work was fast, the IV tech was gentle, and the dr was kind. Turned out I only had a gnarly kidney infection! Thank goodness no stone! They even gave me the first dose of antibiotics there and sent me home with pain medication for the night because the pharmacy was closed. Never had a hospital be that thoughtful!

Fantastic! I had a mammogram and bloodwork here today and I was so impressed with the staff, from checking in to having my tests! EVERYONE was an awesome encounter. You ladies and gents could not have been any nicer! And wow, what service. Thank you so much, you really know how to treat people, I will be back for all my healthcare needs. So clean, so easy, just the best staff, amazing experience!

I have never in my life felt as much compassion towards a patient than I did yesterday. I had an abscess in my face and I was in severe pain. Before I went in I dreaded it thinking that no hospital would help me it's more of a dental issue not the case here. My nurse went above and beyond not only to get rid of my pain but to make sure I was comfortable in good spirits and all around having a great experience. Best nurse I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The doctor was also very compassionate and very generous. She let me know what she was doing every step of the way. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Very clean and sterile room. And I no longer have any pain. I am 100% pleased with my over all experience. I will be going back when and if ever needed. Keep up the excellent work. You guys are amazing and that's an understatement.

My granddaughter had surgery recently at Penn Highlands Tyrone. From check-in to discharge, everyone was absolutely awesome! Her nurse, Abby, was kind, caring, attentive, and professional. Her Anesthesiologist, who was so gentle, and Surgeon were equally wonderful! Even the Snack Bar ladies were kind and professional! It was an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend Penn Highlands Tyrone!

I was brought in yesterday afternoon after a fainting spell. The doctor and Nurse were top notch. Very nice taking care of me and explaining everything, very orderly and in a timely manner.
